TRANSFORMATION OF MEDELLÍN HISTORY: FROM THE MOST DANGEOURS CITY IN THE WORLD TO SOCIAL INNOVATION EXAMPLE

This tour visits some of the neighborhoods of the city of Medellín that were the epicenter of violence in the 80's and 90's and that today are completely safe.

They show us a fast and beautiful example of social transformation full of color, change that has been given by the will of the people to get ahead and the support of social investment well made by the local government.

During this tour we will also visit the Casa de la Memoria Museum, which tells us the history of violence in the city. We will walk through Ayacucho, we will take the tram and we will learn more about what Medellín has been doing as a society to get out of the violence that plagued it historically.
