Description of the Tourist Experience
On this trip, we will discover for 12 days some of the areas of the center of the Colombian Andes, between the areas of Bogotá the capital, the Magdalena Medio, and Antioquia. We will also have an opportunity to visit the pearl of the Caribbean, Cartagena de Indias, one of the most well-preserved colonial-style cities in the world.
This trip will mostly be a road trip, which will invite us to see and enjoy deep Colombia, interact with its people, and learn more about its history, culture, biodiversity, and it’s incredible and inexhaustible beautiful landscapes.
We will visit multiple patrimonial heritage towns such as Guaduas, Honda, and Jardín, in the central area of the Colombian Andes, and we will learn more about its history and cultural traditions, we will visit its markets, handcrafts, we will learn in a plantation about Colombian coffee and why it is the softest in the world. We will get closer to its people so we can know about Colombians as the most welcoming people.

Apart from being in this part of the center of the Colombian Andes, we will travel by plane to Cartagena, to discover the culture, music, traditions, colonial architecture, the food, interact with the locals, try the local delights, and of course enjoy and explore the biodiversity and its nature, which in Colombia is one of the greatest of the world. !
Colonial history, of Cartagena and its slave markets, Palenque, the first free town of the Americas, founded by black liberated Africans, handcrafts done by locals with indigenous techniques, diverse musical rhythms born from the mixture of Africa and indigenous America like Cumbia.

We will Take you to:
- Travel an alternative way between the two cities. Instead of a plane, we invite you to take a car and enjoy the experience that we create for you along the road.
- Enjoy nature in a hummingbird reserve. You will be able to see more than 25 species in one place!
- Learn about the history of Colombia through the colonial heritage towns that we will meet along the way, such as Guaduas and Honda.
- Contemplate the natural wealth of the country from all the geographical and climatic changes that occur in a single trip of 415 km, from the changes in height between the mountains and the road that joins them.
- Relax in the nature that the karstic forest of the Río Claro Nature Reserve offers us with its hotel nestled in the walls of the canyon of the river with the same name as the reserve.
- Delight yourself with Colombian traditions. Along the way, we will make stops to get to know the culture, you will taste local food and many fruits, and you can take photos.
- Get to know a traditional Colombian coffee cultural landscape. Did you know that this type of landscape is considered a UNESCO heritage site?
- Enjoy a road trip through the roads of southwest Antioquia which are surrounded by green mountains and impressive landscapes made up of a mixture of coffee plantations and secondary Andean forests.
- Learn through an interactive tour about the production process of Colombian coffee on a native coffee farm. Thanks to the country’s natural conditions, one of the best mild coffees in the world can be grown in Colombia.6
- Contemplate the beautiful colorful facades of Jardín, a colonial town that preserves Antioquia traditions.
- Delve into the mountains that surround the town of Jardín, in the middle of an Andean and high Andean Forest. There we can go hiking.
- Admire beautiful waterfalls.
- Visit the world heritage walled city of Cartagena.
- Try Colombian Caribbean delights.
- Learn about the history of Colombia through Cartagena´s history.

Journey Type
Tourist: This trip is for relaxing, having fun or both. The type of activities included do not require any sort of physical preparation. It is available for all types of people and all ages.
Sportive-Active: These types of trips are more physically demanding. You need to be mentally and physically prepared for long range routes of some sort of adventure sport. You should be in good physical shape.
Active: This type of journey means a certain type of physical effort as well as physical preparation is needed. This is the first of the Active levels, so only basic and low physical preparation is required.
Expedition: Adventure trips which require varying physical levels of fitness. They are only suitable for well-prepared people, and you may face some uncertainness due to time or weather in the trip location. Some situations will require mental as well as physical strength.
Activity Level
1 For people with physical disabilities.
2 For people who have never done any sort of physical exercise.
3 For people who have done some exercise in the past but may have spent the last 2 years not moving a finger.
5 For people who exercise every month of the year but not necessarily with great regularity. People with good health and travelling experience. You will face every day activities which require average physical effort, such as short treks, or other types of activity which are not longer than 2 to 3 hours a day during the trip.

Those who have travelling experience, as well as camping experience. You can face 17kms (11Milles) hikes in one day, and changes in altitude of 800mts (265Ft) height at least once a week.
7 For people who exercise 3 to 4 times a week, are in good physical shape, have experience in adventure sports, as well as experience of camping for periods of 3 to 5 days. You can face a 20km (12mile) hike every day for 4 days with changes in altitude of 900mts (290Fts) or more. You know your rhythm, as well as how your body performs in difficult weather conditions.
8 The same characteristics as 7, plus technical knowledge of some adventure sports.
9 For specialized professional sports people. Routes carefully designed for high performance. Only by request.
